He also believes if you look at something closely enough you can make a face out of it.
Inspired from this, his love of childrens books and t.v from when he was a tiny person, he likes to spend his time delving into the depth's of his imagination, creating wierd and wonderful concept's, character's and landscapes.
Dan has recentley put this to use in two children's book's called Christopher and the Crab and The thud in the Wood for Orchard Press Olney. Also released in January 2012 the artist has illustrated an interactive story for the ipad called The Gift, written by Jos Carlyle for Persian Cat Press.
The childrens story narrative continues through his personal work; a divulge into his psyche helped to spawn his child illustrated form of 'Mr Dan'. These are currently being used in a series of painting's illustrating his
adventure with a large marshmallow creature called 'Mr Malky'. A selection of this work has been exhibited
in London, Lecce and 'La Louvre' Paris.
These as well as his family portrait persuit, being done mostly to their displeasure, are documented on his
onlne blog www.splitdefect.blogspot.com.
